The eight-foot
long steel barrel that Bobby Leach went over the Niagara Falls in, on July
25, 1911. This photo shows the barrel in front of the Hotel La Fayette
in Niagara Falls, Ontario, in Canada, on March 9, 1912. Bobby Leach, who
was the second person to go over Niagara Falls, survived the fall with
two broken kneecaps and a broken jaw. The first person to go over Niagara
Falls was Annie Edson Taylor, a woman, who survived the fall in her four
and a half-foot wooden barrel on October 24, 1901.
