AEROMARINE MODEL 85 AMBASSADOR FLYING BOAT



The 1920 Aeromarine Model 85 Ambassador Biltmore flying boat, in Aeromarine Airways service, at Lake George, New York, during the summer of 1921. Aeromarine Airways became the first international airline with scheduled flights in 1919, flying between Key West, Florida and Hanvana, Cuba, and they also had flights between New York City and Atlantic City, New Jersey. They obtained several several of these flying boats, which were the civilian version of the Curtiss HS-2L flying boat, in 1921.

ALBATROS W.1 SEAPLANE



The Albatros W.1 seaplane was based on the design of the two-seat Albatros B.II observation biplane, which was used by the German air force, during World War I. Only one copy of this aircraft was produced.


BENOIST MODEL 14 FLYING BOAT



The 1913 Benoist Model 14 flying boat that Harry Atwood flew at Water Works Beach, on the shore of Lake Erie, in Lorain, Ohio, on July 19, 1913. A Benoist Model 14 flying boat was also used by Anthony Jannus on the first scheduled airline flight, from Saint Petersburg, Florida to Tampa, Florida, for Thomas Benoist's St. Peterburg-Tampa Airboat Line.

BOEING B&W SEAPLANE



The Boeing B&W seaplane first flew on June 29, 1916 and two of them were produced, which were sold to the government of New Zealand. Its name is derived from the initals of the last name of William Boeing and United States Navy Commander George Conrad Westervelt, who were involved with its production.
