by the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps, as torpedo bombers.

States Navy Curtiss R-6 seaplane being used for an experimental catapult
flight, from the deck of the U.S.S. Huntington (CA-5), at NAS Pensacola,
in Florida, around May to July, 1917. Its catapult and four seaplanes were
removed from the ship, while it was in New York, in October 1917.
